RGB-to-HDMI circuit

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

RGB-to-HDMI circuit

Post by /genesis »

Good morning r/segagenesis! I'm trying to modernize my Model 1 PAL VA4 Mega Drive. I've added a usb-c port for power (bypassing and ripping out the 7805 voltage converters in the process) and would really like to get HDMI straight out of the mega drive via an RGB bypass board on the way. Yes yes I know about external scalers but like I said, I want to modernize the console itself!
Does anyone know of anyone that's achieved this? I've thought about repurposing the OSSC but it's a little beyond me to figure out on my own...
