Raspberry Pi 4 + Ubuntu 22.04 slow AF

So a year ago I bought a Raspberry Pi 4 (4gb model), but never used it.
I started playing with it a week ago and I installed Ubuntu 22.04 on it through Raspberry Pi Imager.
When I boot into Ubuntu, it's soooo slow it's unuseable. I have no idea why, as I read people are using it even on the 2gb version without problems.
What can I check to see what might be wrong?
