Rpi screen not working properly.

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I recently bought a 7" touch screen for my RPi so i could take it gel blasting to offload camera footage and whatnot, however after adding ( hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0 ) to the config.txt the pi will boot to a black screen with a - on it, if i remove the text i added it will boot normally into rasbian but the display will be extremely off center, can anyone help me figure out what ive done wrong? So far I've tried multiple fresh OS installs on several different USB's all have the same issue.
