Booting from USB (SSD) doesn't work when USB keyboard connected

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I have configured my RPi4 to boot from SSD and that works fine. However, if I connect an USB keyboard to the RPi, booting from the SSD doesn't work anymore. Apparently the bootloader tries to look a bootable USB mass storage device from the port where the keyboard is connected and is not smart enough to try the other ports when the keyboard port fails. So every time I boot my RPi I have to unplug the keyboard and then plug it back in which is pretty annoying.
I'm using the latest version of EEPROM / bootloader and have enabled it from the raspi-config.
I can't switch the ports the USB keyboard and USB storage device because I'm using Argon ONE M.2 SATA case.
Any solution available?
