How can I connect a screen to Raspberry Pi Zero 2 without HMDI?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

me and my friend are making a handheld retropie system and were wondering how to connect a screen without using a HDMI cable? can you use a ribbon cable and the GPIO pins, if so which ones? if anyone has any other solutions they're much appreciated
we've looked around and all tutorials point to a raspberry pi 4, and to keep it compact we want to use a Zero 2. Can you use a ribbon cable along with the GPIO pins like the RPI 4 tutorials suggest, or will it not work because they're different models? Thanks for any help! :)
