Looking for advice on getting a replacement battery

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

Looking for advice on getting a replacement battery

Post by /3ds »

Hello,
Recently i had to remove the original battery from my O3DS XL since it swolle up a noticeable bit.
I hadn't charged it for a while so i figure that's part of the reason.
It still seemed to work, but i figured i would be gambling with a fire hazzard.
Anyway, i've been looking to get a replacement one. Contacted local Nintendo to see if they sold official replacements
but that hasn't produced any fruition so far, so i've been looking at 3rd party brands in the meantime.
I've found a few 2500mAh ones on Amazon UK/ES and a 1300mAh on a local shop, the original one is rated at 1750mAh.
At the moment, getting the 1300mAh seems my best option, mostly because i haven't found any seller for the 2500mAh that shipped to where i live.
Any recommendations / feedback on brands or shops (that ship to western europe) to get a battery from?
Should i prioritize getting an official battery pack?
Would the difference in charge make a big difference (1300mAh vs 2500mAh)?
I mostly just need the battery just because the 3DS doesn't work without one.
