Interested in Nomad, what are essential mods?

Hi, so I started getting into the Genesis and thought it'd be cool to have a portable Genesis to use outside sometimes.
I hear the default screen is hard to see outside, if that's true what's the best replacement screen for outside use?
I also hear that the Nomad eats through batteries. Are there good battery mods, or do you think powerful rechargable enelope batteries would make it last longer? (I'd be hoping at least 3 or 4 hours)
The Game Gear also seems to have issues with bad capacitors, does the Nomad also have these problems?
And finally, I just watched Classic Game Room's review and Mark mentioned that the speaker is very weak. Do people usually replace the speaker nowadays? Thanks
