New 3DS XL battery

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

New 3DS XL battery

My New 3DS XL battery isn't working as well as it used to, so I found an official replacement battery on eBay for $11, but it says 3DS XL battery, and it looks different than my New 3DS XL battery, but it says that it is compatible with it. Is the only thing different from the New 3DS XL battery and the 3DS XL battery just cosmetic?
