Why Did Prince Of Persia Look Different On SNES?

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Why Did Prince Of Persia Look Different On SNES?

So I just played both Genesis and SNES versions of Prince Of Persia and I was pretty confused about why they made it look different on different consoles. Like nothing else was changed, only its appearance... What was the reason for this?
